Addition Notes: Obit from Kentucky-Standard: Mellie Mae Snellen Watts, 87 Mellie Mae Snellen Watts, 87, of Cox’s Creek, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. A native of Brooks Station, she was a homemaker and member of New Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell Watts; and her daughter, Laverne Watts. Survivors include, one daughter, Delores St. Clair, of Cox’s Creek; two sons, Jim Watts, of Bardstown, and Bill Watts, of Cox’s Creek; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Northside Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Bruce Treon officiating. Burial is in New Salem Church Cemetery. Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
